Hey, my name is Sebastian
and I am a young mixed media artist from Vienna.
My basic approach to art is very technical, opening even more ways to be creative.
My mediums are oil color, acrylic color, pencil/pastel and linol cutting/printing
Part of the deal has always been photography and reworking pictures with photoshop. In the future I would like to get more into filming.
I promise you are going to see much more of me in all forms and shapes. My head is full of ideas.
My way
to art was very long. I started painting when I was about 20 years old. Why? I can't remember what the motivation was. My parents were also rather surprised as my paintings as a child were rather abstract.
After the first actually nice paintings, between 21 and 28 I painted nearly nothing. But then I took it to a new level, switching from acrylics to oil color and painted motives I never thought I could.
Where am I now? I finished my medical degree and worked for some time as doctor, but I was never able to stop thinking about creating.
So now I am here: Trying to make a living as an artist.
Already
as a child I started creating.
I began with woodworking, furniture building and helped in renovation of old houses. Over the years, inspired by my family, I extended the fields in which I crafted a lot.
While studying medicine I started a project in the festival gastronomy: I build and managed multiple sales vehicles, leading me to know a lot about direct advertisement and impulse buying as well as social media management. Though I had a promotion contract with one of the biggest food companies in Austria I terminated the project due to disagreements. Luckily before the covid lockdown.
Over the years I got more and more into mechanics, ending with me completely rebuilding my Volkswagen T5 bus. Besides the mechanics I also extended my knowledge about electrics by far. Logically, I had to install 30kg of cable and code the car computer. The bus went from lowest configuration transporter to a Multivan Highline with many extra features and proud 440k kilometers on the clock.
My strategic approach and striving to optimize processes is in my opinion what made me very valuable in my previous workplaces and got me through my medical studies. The skill to depict text and data was very helpful in scientific research and following presentations.
This is
also me. I am active in all kinds of ways and I love food and drinks.
In my paintings all variations of me come together.
